However, if, at time of actual inspection, it is found that the dog is extremely matted and will require extra time, a revised price may be agreed with you to reflect the extra work necessary to make the most of your dog's coat, although these situations are extremely rare.

 

*Handstripping - a preferred method with most terriers, i.e. the old coat or "blown" coat is stripped by hand, leaving the new coat underneath. Whilst more costly, this task need only be undertaken twice a year and is an ideal way to protect your terrier from adverse weather by maintaining the coarse quality of the natural coat and its waterproof aspects.
